Consensus Strategies is proud to have played a key role in a groundbreaking new study published in Scientific Reports, Nature Magazine’s open-access scientific journal. The research highlights how personal physicians remain the most trusted voices for health information during the emerging H5N1 avian influenza outbreak—surpassing even government institutions such as the CDC and local health departments .

Our team at Consensus Strategies managed the national survey that gathered responses from more than 6,200 U.S. adults across urban, suburban, and rural areas. Using a mix of phone, text, and online outreach, we ensured a representative sample that captured critical demographic and geographic insights. The findings underscore an essential truth: in times of public health crisis, trust in the messenger is just as vital as trust in the message .

We are excited to be part of this collaborative effort addressing such a vital issue. As threats like H5N1 continue to evolve, effective communication strategies—grounded in the voices people trust most—will be key to protecting public health. Consensus Strategies is honored to support this research and remains committed to advancing evidence-based insights that help shape smarter policy, better messaging, and healthier communities.
